SHADBOLT Group is delighted to announce the award of yet another professional Chartership amongst our ranks.
We’d like to congratulate Associate Director, Rob Plews, who has been awarded an Environmentalist Chartership by SocEnv (Society for the Environment).
He now has another certificate to add to his collection, after gaining his Engineering Chartership only two years ago.
Rob said: “It’s great to get recognition for your work over the years. Being reviewed by peers and deemed ‘competent’ is a good feeling.
“It puts you in a trusted position being a proper ‘professional’, where you can sign off on company reports and documents and represent the company.”
Originally joining us as a Geo-Environmental Engineer, Rob has climbed up the ladder over the past 20 years, through to Senior, Associate, and most recently being promoted to Associate Director in 2023.
When speaking about Charterships, he said: “It’s something you work towards your whole career. It’s not just about technical ability, but about mentoring the next generation, ensuring everyone follows the correct engineering codes of practice, including the moral and ethical considerations.”
There are over 7,500 Chartered Environmentalists registered within the Society for the Environment (SocEnv), utilising their environmental expertise to lead the way to a more sustainable world.
At Shadbolt Group we pride ourselves on helping our staff reach their full potential, providing opportunities for staff to put forward additional training, qualification, and development requests during their annual reviews.
