SHADBOLT Group have expanded their Architectural department – yet again! Hiring the fourth addition in just over 12 months.
Last week, we welcomed Lucy, who has joined us as a Graduate Architectural Technician following graduating her Interior Architecture degree at Northumbria University last year.
Lucy said: “This was actually my first in-person interview following university. Everyone has been very welcoming and eager to help me both with work and to feel at home – I even managed to win my first game of pool!
“I’m looking forward to gaining more knowledge of CAD programs, as well as visiting sites with the team.”
As a Group, we are extremely thankful to our existing and new clients for the continued work they have sent our way, which has led to our Architectural department in particular doubling in size over the past 12 months.
Lucy is one of two Graduates that have been hired this month, with Will starting as a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer based out of our Corby-based office.
We are thrilled that due to continued growth, we can keep creating new job opportunities like this, bringing two young, enthusiastic graduates on board and helping them take their first steps on their paths into the construction industry.
Lucy continues: “I always enjoyed designing and have been creative from a young age, taking Art and Design in college prior to my degree.
“I found the idea of learning about a building’s history, then adapting them very interesting, which led me to Interior Architecture.”
We now have a strong team of Architectural Technologists, as well as our now Senior Architect, Andy, who joined the consultancy six months ago.
Lucy will be mentored by the team, who will teach her how to navigate software such as Autodesk Revit, as well as using our new 3D Laser Scanning equipment.
Ian, Associate Director of Architectural, said: “It is amazing to be in the position where we can create openings for Graduates like Lucy to start their career journey in Architecture.
“Lucy’s only been with us for a couple of weeks, but she’s already integrated well within the architectural team. She’s also demonstrated that she can pick up and adapt to the diverse projects we currently have ongoing, and we look forward to seeing her skills develop.”
We currently have vacancies in both our Civil and Structural departments, please follow us on LinkedIn, where all of our job opportunities are advertised.
